Knitting Olympics
Feh. Blogger doesn't want to upload any large pictures right at the moment. Curses! (shakes fist threateningly) I was all set to post the pattern for the sweater I'm (apparently) doing for the Knitting Olympics that Yarn Harlot has set up. I've got a short sleeved 1940's sweater I'm doing which you could all see if I could get the pictures to post, dammit.
The general idea is that you cast on during the Opening Ceremonies (Feb 10) and finish before the Olympic flame goes out (Feb 26). Yup. A little over two weeks to finish a whole something. I usually have no problem knitting crap in less time than that but I hate like a mofo having to sew the thing together. I downright resent it. I pretty much take it personally that I have to now put all these pieces together.
So that's my challenge, to knit and finish a project in 16 days. I should have said I'd do socks because you don't have to sew those. The challenge would have been to make socks I'd actually put on my feet.
