Oh Hell, How Much More Do I Have to Do?

First picture of Olympic project. That's just the 4" of k1 p1 ribbing, plus a couple rows of pattern stitches. I'm still going with the same 1940's short sleeved pullover pattern but when faced with a vast expanse of plain stockinette stitch I decided to do the nice but stupidly complicated pattern from Alice Starmore's Aberlady sweater (The Celtic Collection). Why? Because I'm freakin retarded, that's why. I should be wearing a helmet I'm so retarded. I had muttered something about doing a Bohus Stickning pattern (The Chinese) all up the front but I'm in no mood for colorwork. Just wait til tomorrow--I might just change my mind and frog what pattern stitch I got & do the damn Chinese anyhow.

The yarn is Henry's Attic Prime Alpaca, in some sort of greyish brown, or is that brownish grey? It's fuzzy and it's hard to see what I'm doing. Either that or I'm going to be getting bifocals next time I go to the eye doctor.

Feb 13 comment added: OK, after wasting lots of time trying to figure out how to knit the short sleeved pullover in this grey-brown I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't have enough yarn no matter what I did. So I've had to start over with the mahogany brown alpaca (same Henry's Attic stuff just a different color) which I was going to do originally. So imagine the above photo in darker brown.
